Last week my good friends superalot told me that if you ever get a snake in your house, you should put a bowl of milk out. The snake will come and drink the milk and get all drowsy and fall asleep. Snake in a bowl of milk. I couldn’t not use that for the March song. Other than that, I was at a loss, totally without inspiration. I sat down on Monday and looked around me...  I’d just got some nice new blue jeans, there was jasmine out on the balcony, and someone very nice had just got me some inflatable eyeballs.

So here it is, marching into the spring, we spring out of March. Thanks due to A-Line music who told me a great songwriting trick over some chocolate and pistachio macaroons. One last question though: once the snake has fallen asleep on your kitchen floor, what do you do with it? Lots of love from Calendar Girl.

Glitter on my white T-Shirt
Snake in a bowl of milk
In brand new jeans

Sunday papers piled up
My white sheets look like a
Frankenstein monster

oooh ooh ooh
oooh ooh ooh

Hollywood picture book
Inflatable eyeballs
And a happy robot

Sunshine in the shadows
Dinosaur emperors
Eat butter and sugar

oooh ooh ooh
oooh ooh ooh

Flowers on a balcony
Creamy eternity
Underneath a fruit tree

Can I just get some sleep?
Marching into the spring
Gives me tired feet

oooh ooh ooh
oooh ooh ooh

Gravatar This intimate jewel song echoes with the frailty of the dying winter and the still to grow spring, Calendar Girl. Like a daffodil, I'm swinging to it. 4/3/2007 12:35 PM | lakalakaboom

Gravatar It was a pleasure remixing this little gem of a song. You can't but smile when listening to the lyrics, and it really captures the "mood" of March. Wonderful. 9/26/2007 12:16 AM | iggmatic productions

Gravatar The SmokeyVW remix is inventive--it's fun to hear this very original song which effectively uses the "march" samples 12/2/2007 2:55 PM | gurdonark

Gravatar I tried to upload my remix however the site is rejecting the file, and I checked and its the right size and everything, could you maybe suggest the things for me to check to see whats wrong?
That would be greatly appreciated.
